Nuit Blanche Edmonton

Nuit Blanche is a contemporary art festival that is known all over the world. It is an international movement that uses contemporary art to transform urban spaces. The first Nuit Blanche was held in Paris in 2002.

Nuit Blanche Edmonton premiered in 2015 and Wild Heart Collective was hired to do festival production and coordination. The night was an incredible success and featured work by the likes of Yoko Ono, Turner Prize-winner Martin Creed, local sound artist Gary James Joynes and more.

Wild Heart’s role for NBE was as follows:

  • responsible for all areas of production including market area, art installations and more
  • responsible for all relationships between stakeholders and artists
  • budget maintenance
  • market recruitment and vendor management
  • administrative tasks, permits, etc.

This event attracted over 55,0000 people to the downtown core and received amazing response for its impact to the city as an engaging new festival.
