THE 124 GRAND MARKET IS PROUD TO BE BRINGING YOU ANOTHER SUMMER OF THE GRAND TASTE TOUR!
An interactive, educational experience that will celebrate and promote local food grown and raised in Alberta. On Saturday, July 28, 2018 participants will be engaged in guided food tours including producers from outside our City's limits. Featuring tastings and other educational tidbits and a special farm to fork dinner you will NOT want to miss!
The Grand Taste Tour is a fundraising initiative that started in 2014 as a way to generate funds to facilitate operations of the 124 Grand Market, Little Beans, and Little Beans Farm Camp (coming soon!).
On July 28th, we will be heading West to Wildwood and working with the very cool Doherty Family out at Stonepost Farms.
Stonepost Farms produce food that is natural and healthy while maintaining the integrity of the land. On this tour we will learn about their regenerative farming practices, as well as other interactive workshops where we will discover entomophagy (the raising and production of insect protein), bees, and more! This experience is not to be missed!
Partners include:
-Stonepost Farms
-Camola Sustainable Foods
-Chef Eric Hanson and Prairie Noodle Shop
More partners to be announced.
At the end of a jam-packed day, we are honoured to have Award winning Chef Eric Hanson and his team at Prairie Noodle Shop preparing a delicious meal served in the picturesque backdrop of Stonepost Farms.
